■ REVIEW: Married With Zombies
Marriage tips … and BRAAAIIIINNNNS

Now here’s a novel concept: a romantic comedy with zombies.

If, like me, you are over the whole sparkly vampire trend, this could be the book for you.

Once upon a time, Sarah and David met and fell in love, as you do. However, as we all know, marriages don’t always go smoothly and now they are on the verge of divorce and going to counselling.

On a routine trip to visit their counsellor they notice a few things that just don’t seem right: such as a lack of traffic on the highway, the missing security guard.

Oh, and then there’s the fact that their counsellor is ripping out her previous client’s throat.

Yes, it’s a zombie apocalypse and Sarah and David are fighting for survival: there are zombies to kill but they still want to kill each other.

This is great fun and full of great relationship tips, such as: Put the small stuff into perspective. It’s better to be wrong and alive than right but eating brains.

Married With Zombies, by Jesse Petersen (Simon & Schuster, RRP $28)
