FICTION

The Festival of Insignificance, by Milan Kunder: The first novel in twelve years, from the author of the modern classic, The Unbearable Lightness of Being. Out in July and published by Faber (RRP $28).

NON-FICTION

You Simply Can’t Spoil a Newborn, by Dorothy Waide: Subtitled the essential Kiwi guide to nurturing your baby in the first three months. Bateman publishes this in July and it will retail for $40.

Mountaineering: A History in Photographs, by John Wilson: Out on July 6 and published by Bateman, this book has more than 200 photographs, NZ’s mountaineering past and present. RRP $60.

MasterChef: The Masters at Home: Home cooking from 32 master chefs from around the globe. Published by Absolute Press and out in July with a price tag of $50.

Gun Baby Gun, by Iain Overton: A hard-hitting investigation of the gun’s impact around the world. Published in July by Canongate (RRP $33).
