■ REVIEW: World's Weirdest Obsessions
Good value for giggles

We all have obsessions: for some of us it’s the quite sensible compulsion to buy designer handbags, for others it’s collecting stamps or not stepping on cracks on the footpath.

This little book takes a humorous look at the weird obsessions of some very weird people.

Joseph Pujol is a prime example. Mr Pujol was obsessed with farting, so obsessed that he was able to train himself to use his “gift” to imitate various farm animals, play the flute and fart the French national anthem. Lovely.

There’s not much you can get for under $15 these days so why not get this book? I guarantee it will give you more than a few giggles.

World’s Weirdest Obsessions, by Matt Roper (Penguin, RRP $14.95)
