Second in series as fun as the first

Motor Mouth, by Janet Evanovich (HarperCollins, $34.99):

Alexandra Barnaby (better known to her friends as Barney) and race-car driver Sam Hooker are back in a new novel that follows on from the best-selling Metro Girl.

Barney is now Sam’s raceday spotter and during the final race of the season she spots something going on in the infield that will change her life — things that will lead to a stolen race car hauler, a kidnapped pooch, a bizarre murder some restless nights with a reunion with one of the most colourful characters from the last book, cigar roller Rosa Florez.

This action-packed book has all the pace and humour of the last story. Even if you haven’t read the first book, you’ll still enjoy this one.
